1.1 This policy contains details of the delivery methods, periods and charges that apply to orders for our products made through our website or by telephone or email.
1.2 This policy is a legally binding document, and forms part of the contract of sale between you and us made under our terms and conditions of sale.
2. Free delivery
2.1 We offer free standard delivery to all mainland UK addresses on all orders over GBP 100 (including VAT). A small number of products are excluded from this offer due to shipping restrictions (size/weight etc.) but these are clearly marked in the product description.
2.2 All other orders will be subject to delivery charges as detailed in Section 5.
3. Geographical limitations
3.1 We will deliver to the following countries and territories: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
3.2 We are usually able to ship goods worldwide but we ask that anyone placing international orders contacts us directly to place their order (either by phone on: 00442088520119 or via email: email@example.com as shipping costs normally have to be calculated for the specific size and weight of the order and will depend what type of service you require (airmail, surface, tracked etc.).
3.3 Due to shipping restrictions imposed by our delivery service provider's, on occasion we may not be able to fulfil part or all of an order due to the geographical location of the delivery address. On these occasions we will contact the customer directly to discuss either cancelling/amending the order or arranging alternative shipping methods (we reserve the right to charge for alternative shipping services should they be agreed).
4. Delivery methods and periods
4.1 The methods that we use to deliver our products, and the time periods within which delivery is usually completed, are as follows:
(a) We aim to ship all United Kingdom Mainland orders within 2 working days of receipt (with the exception of orders containing special order items, please see section 4.3 for more details). Dependant on the size and weight of the final order shipping options may include Royal Mail 24hr, Royal Mail 48hr or a courier next day service (excludes weekends).
(b) If your delivery address is on the United Kingdom mainland and you select Royal Mail 48hr, the typical period for delivery of products by this method is 3-4 working days.
(c) If your delivery address is on the United Kingdom mainland and you select Royal Mail 24hr, the typical period for delivery of products by this method is 2-3 working days.
(d) If your delivery address is on the United Kingdom mainland and you select Courier Next Day Service, the typical period for delivery of products by this method is 1-2 working days.
4.2 If you place your order before 5.30pm on a working day, these time periods run from the close of business on that day; if you place your order after 5.30pm on a working day, or on a non-working day, these time periods run from the close of business on the next following working day.
4.3 Orders containing items marked on our website as Special Order will be dispatched once the items in question have been ordered and arrived into stock at Selectric. The time frame given in days (e.g. Special Order 3 - 5 days) indicates the approximate number of working days the item will take to arrive into our stock and should be factored in addition to the delivery periods detailed in section 4.1. In most cases unless expressely requested and agreed an order containing both stocked and special order items will be shipped only once the complete order is available in our stock. If for any reason a special order item is delayed or unavailable we will inform you immediately and you will be given the option to amend or cancel your order.
4.4 The delivery periods set out in this Section 4 are indicative only, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure that you receive your delivery in good time, we do not guarantee delivery before the end of the stated period.
5. Delivery charges
5.1 Delivery charges to United Kingdom mainland addresses will be calculated by our website automatically and are applied to your order during the checkout process.
5.2 Applicable delivery charges will depend upon the delivery method you select, the location of the delivery address, and the size and weight of the products in your order.
5.3 Our delivery charges are as follows:
(a) In respect of Royal Mail 48hr, delivery charges will be GBP 2.95 (including VAT)
(b) In respect of Royal Mail 24hr, delivery charges will be GBP 4.95 (including VAT)
(c) In respect of Next Day Courier Services, delivery charges will be GBP 7.95 (including VAT)
6. Delivery tracking
6.1 Delivery tracking is available in respect of orders placed with the Next Day Courier Services shipping option.
6.2 To track your delivery please visit our service provider's website here: https://track.dhlparcel.co.uk/ select Customer Reference and enter your order number (which is provided in your order confirmation email) enter the postcode of your delivery in the Postcode field and click the Find Your Parcel button.
7. Receipt and signature
7.1 All deliveries must be received in person at the delivery address. If a specific request is made for the item to be left in a safe place/with a neighbour or similar we cannot be held liable for the order once the delivery has been made.
7.3 Orders shipped with the Next Day Courier option will require a signature on receipt.
8. Additional deliveries
8.1 In regards to orders placed with the Next Day Courier option if an initial delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our delivery service provider will make 1 more attempt to deliver the products in your order.
9.1 If your products remain undelivered by Royal Mail or by our Courier service provider (despite our delivery service provider making at least 1 more attempt to deliver them), the delivery service provider will leave a card at your address, with instructions on how you may collect your products, including a time limit for collection.
10. Delivery problems
10.1 If you experience any problems with a delivery, please contact us.
10.2 If our delivery service provider is unable to deliver your products, and such failure is your fault, or you do not collect your products from our delivery service provider within the relevant time limit, we may agree to arrange for re-delivery of the products; however, we reserve the right to charge you for the actual costs of re-delivery (even where the initial delivery was free of charge).
10.3 An indicative list of the situations where a failure to deliver will be your fault is set out below:
(a) you provided the wrong address for delivery;
(b) there is a mistake in the address for delivery that was provided;
(c) the address for delivery is not reasonably accessible;
(d) the address for delivery cannot safely be accessed;
(e) if in-person receipt is not required, there is no easy and secure means of leaving the products at the address for delivery and there is no person available to accept delivery; or
(f) if in-person receipt is required, there is no person available at the address for delivery to accept delivery and/or provide a signature.
