Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Changes at the Blackheath store

With the ever developing situation and in line with a number of other UK retailers we have made the difficult decision to close the doors to our retail store in Blackheath as of Monday 23rd March. This will be the case until we can be confident that operating in the traditional way won’t put both our customers and staff at risk and of course as a company the last thing we want to do is have a negative impact on the situation locally and nationally. 

To continue serving our customers we will be offering a number of alternatives if you need to purchase anything from us

Please do not come to the shop and attempt to place orders or interact with staff directly while outside the store through the door or even on the telephone. We will not prepare orders on the spot in an ad-hoc fashion. We need to insure that we have time to follow all the relevant procedures in house to reduce risks for everyone.

Note: We have established a number of precautions in store to help minimise the risks of any contamination both between staff and in relation to the products we are handling for both delivery and collection. These include the advice regarding regular hand washing and social distancing between staff as well as regular cleaning of equipment with alcohol based cleaners and use of disposable gloves. All staff have been briefed regarding self-isolation protocols and have been advised to not come to work for at least 14 days if they or any member of their household displays symptoms.

Orders for Contactless Delivery - We are offering local deliveries to surrounding SE postcodes for a charge of £4.95 (SE3) and £5.95 (SE7, SE10, SE13 and SE12). Orders with a value over £100 will be delivered for free. If you’re self-isolating and are struggling financially, please let us know you need help and we will do our best to make your delivery as affordable as possible. Deliveries will be made to your doorstep, we will ring the bell/call your telephone to confirm you are there to receive the parcel but we will not ask for a signature and social distancing recommendations will be followed.

We will do our best to have all collection and delivery orders ready same day (unless items on your order are due in from suppliers) but orders placed after 1pm will likely be ready for collection/delivery the following working day.

Orders for postal delivery

We can send your order via post with either Royal Mail or courier (normally next day apart from the weekends). Letter sized parcels cost £2.95, parcels cost £4.95 and courier delivery is £7.95. We will try our best to get orders dispatched same day but our postal department is extremely busy so please bear with us.
